Nido di Seta’s textile production reflects the antique artisan traditions of the area. The golden thread is worked on antique looms whose four heddles beat to the rhythm of a “sliding shuttle.”
All the products are made with raw silk which ensures their quality and uniqueness and ensures environmental sustainability.
The dyes of our fabric, shawls, blankets, napkins and runners use natural products such as poppies, mulberries, the famous Tropea Onion, broom flowers and walnut husks.
One of our? most recent projects is a kneeling stool cover which was dyed using madder root and created for Pope Francis. It is currently in the Clementin Hall of the Vatican.
